Our target

We aim to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2 at Level AA across the site, and the stricter Level AAA standard specifically for the contrast of body text. Body text is set above the AAA contrast threshold on every background it appears on, which is a deliberate choice: pale gray text on white is the single most common way a site aimed at older readers becomes harder to read than an unstyled page.

Last tested: 2026-10-14. That date moves only when the tests are actually run again.

What that means in practice

• Body text starts at nineteen pixels and scales up from there. We never override the text size you have already set in your own browser.
• The page works at 200 percent and 400 percent zoom without anything overlapping or disappearing off the side, and we test at both.
• Every button is at least forty eight pixels tall and contact buttons are fifty six, which is above the strictest published guideline. Links inside a sentence are underlined.
• Nothing depends on hovering, and nothing is an icon with no words next to it. No menu opens on hover, and the choices in the quote form are standard lists that work by keyboard.
• Nothing moves, flashes, auto-plays or slides on its own anywhere on this site.
• No popups, no chat widget, no exit-intent overlay and no newsletter interruption. Not now and not later.
• The whole site works by keyboard, there is a skip link to the main content, and a focused element is never hidden behind the bar at the bottom of the screen.
• Price tables are real tables with proper headings, so a screen reader announces which figure belongs to which home size.

How we test

Automated accessibility checks run against the built site at desktop, a small phone screen, and simulated 200 and 400 percent zoom, and the date above is the last time they were run. Automated checks catch perhaps a third of real problems, so they are the floor and not the ceiling. Colour contrast is additionally computed from the source values and checked against every background a given text colour can land on, because the pairs that fail are the ones nobody thought to look at.

What we know is not right yet

Listing these is the point of the page. A statement with no known limitations has usually not been tested.

• Testing has been automated and manual, not assistive. We have not yet put this site in front of somebody who uses a screen reader daily. Until we have, we are not going to describe it as screen reader tested.
• The forms have not been tested with assistive technology. Forms are where accessibility usually fails, so if one does not work for you, email us and we will take the details by hand.

If you cannot use this website at all, that is not a reason you cannot be a customer. Call or email us in whatever form suits you and we will work out the rest by hand.
