Faithfully KeptCall

Accessibility

Most of the people this site is built for are over sixty, and a good number are reading it at enlarged text on a phone that is a few years old. That is the design brief rather than an accommodation added afterwards.

Our target

We aim to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2 at Level AA across the site, and the stricter Level AAA standard specifically for the contrast of body text. Body text is set above the AAA contrast threshold on every background it appears on, which is a deliberate choice: pale gray text on white is the single most common way a site aimed at older readers becomes harder to read than an unstyled page.

Last tested: 2026-08-27. That date moves only when the tests are actually run again.

What that means in practice

How we test

Automated checks run against the built site on every change, across desktop, a small phone screen, and simulated 200 and 400 percent zoom. Automated checks catch perhaps a third of real problems, so they are the floor and not the ceiling. Colour contrast is additionally computed from the source values and checked against every background a given text colour can land on, because the pairs that fail are the ones nobody thought to look at.

What we know is not right yet

Listing these is the point of the page. A statement with no known limitations has usually not been tested.

If something here does not work for you

Email hello@faithfullykept.com and describe what happened and what you were using. We will reply within two working days, and if it is something we can fix we will fix it rather than explain it.

If you cannot use this website at all, that is not a reason you cannot be a customer. Email us in whatever form suits you and we will work out the rest by hand.
